What documents will I need to Register for the USAS Plan?
To ensure a smooth registration process for the US Agent for Service (USAS) plan, please prepare the following documents based on your situation. We support applicants who already hold FAA credentials, as well as those applying for FAA certificates (e.g., piggybacking from foreign licenses like UK CAA PPL) or even those without any pilot credentials yet.
- If you hold FAA credentials (e.g., Part 61, 63, 65, 67, or 107 certificates, ratings, or authorizations): Upload your FAA Certificate (front only) and your FAA Medical Certificate (required if issued – expired OK). For aircraft owners: Upload your Aircraft Registration and/or Letter of Authorization (LOA).
- If you do not yet hold FAA credentials (e.g., applying for a piggyback FAA license based on a foreign certificate): Upload your foreign country pilot license (e.g., UK CAA PPL, front side) or your foreign medical certificate (whichever is most relevant to your application).
- Government-Issued Photo ID (required for all applicants – expired OK): Examples include passport, driver’s license or national ID card.
- If you do not have any pilot license or medical certificate (foreign or FAA): Simply upload your government-issued photo ID in the first upload field – no additional aviation documents are needed at this stage.
The first “Choose Files” upload field is required, the other two “Choose Files” upload field(s) are optional. To upload multiple required documents, either select all files or photos at the same time in the first “Choose Files” field OR use the next upload field(s) separately – note: all selections must be in the same format per upload field, maximum 6 files per upload field. Smaller file sizes speed up registration and checkout processing time.
Supported formats: PDF, JPEG or camera photo uploads – each under 10MB.
You can upload or update additional documents (e.g., your new FAA certificate once issued) later via your secure dashboard.
